STAR EGGS: an original adventure game

STAR EGGS is an original adventure in which the world unfolds through exploration, character encounters and conflict. I connect story and visual ideas with dialogue, combat, progression and saving systems. Menus and the HUD support that journey, and a playable demo brings it into action.

The challenge

Create a game with its own world and cast, then make the story, exploration, combat and interface work together as a playable experience.

My role

Andrey — concept and game design, visual direction, interfaces, gameplay programming and builds.

01

The world becomes playable

The demo connects movement, encounters and combat feedback with the player’s progress. Andrey works on the rules behind the scene as well as its presentation: how an encounter starts, how objectives advance, what the HUD explains and where the player continues after a restart.

The outcome

The playable demo connects world exploration, dialogue and combat with menus, a HUD and saved progress. It shows the path of an independently authored game, from world and characters to gameplay rules and a build that can be played.

How STAR EGGS is taking shape

The playable build makes it possible to explore encounters, try combat and see where the story, controls and interface need further work.

01

Define the game

World, cast, narrative structure and gameplay rules develop as one concept.

02

Build the systems

Unreal gameplay, dialogue, progression, menus and HUD turn the concept into something a player can act on.

03

Play, refine, repeat

Packaged builds reveal problems in pacing, readability and transitions. Fixes feed the next iteration; the project remains in active development.
